From gorgeous gift ideas to got-to-have gadgets and divine décor to show-stopping styles, Pescod Square is your one-stop-shop this Christmas.

And with enchanting events, plenty of in-store promotions and cracking Christmas giveaways, it really is the place to be for some extra sparkle this season.

Christmas Lights Switch On

On Thursday 29th November the shopping centre hosted its much-anticipated Christmas Lights Switch On. Thousands of people flocked to Pescod Square for a full schedule of performances and activities, including a stage show compered by Boston’s Endeavour FM.

Excited crowds looked on as the radio team introduced The Alan School of Dance and the cast of Aladdin from Blackfriars Theatre in Boston. There were also on-stage games and competitions giving audience members the chance to win prizes from Pescod Square’s retailers.

Peter Rabbit

The guest of honour for the evening was children’s favourite, Peter Rabbit! Peter mingled with the crowds, much to the delight of little ones, before turning on Pescod Square’s Christmas lights alongside our competition winner – Katy Jeffery and her niece, Eleanor.

We had a brilliant evening watching both our schools in illuminate. Seeing Great Oaks and Boston West Academy and of course Peter Rabbit! Thank you Pescod Square, from Eleanor and myself.Katy Jeffery

A Huge Success

The event attracted nearly 9,000 visitors to Pescod Square, a 5% increase in visitors from the same event last year. Social media posts on the shopping centre’s pages reached over 50,000 people organically.

The Lights Switch On was also featured in the Boston Standard, where the paper commented that it was the “best event of its kind” (alongside the Boston town lights switch on):

Dylan Taylor from Endeavour FM tweeted: “It was the best outside event we’ve ever done. Proud of my team.”

Jason Vickers from the marketing team at Pescod Square, said: “Pescod Square’s event was a fantastic way to start the festive season in Boston. We were thrilled to see so many families joining us for our Christmas Lights Switch On event. The atmosphere was electric, and we are so happy to hear the great feedback from visitors.”

Santa Claus

Hot on the heels of the Christmas Lights Switch On Spectacular, the festive fun continues at Pescod Square with regular visits from Santa Claus up until 23rd December! Bring your children to the Square to meet the jolly fellow with the big belly in his grotto, managed by the Boston Lions. Entry is £2.50 per child with all monies going to local good causes.

The grotto is open as follows:
